The second generation from the award-winning Sonetto series, Sonetto G2 is the first collection to incorporate acoustic technologies specifically designed for the Suprema system, the elite flagship of the Sonus faber catalogue. Taking its name from the sonet – the oldest Italian poetic structure – Sonetto is both steeped in tradition and driven by evolutions in technology.

Italian Poetry
Derived from the Italian word for “sonet,” meaning “little song,” Sonetto G2 pays homage to the rich traditions of both Italy and Sonus faber. Featuring our signature artisanal craftsmanship and innovative design, each individual driver is custom-engineered specifically for this collection.

Familiar Design, Enhanced
Lute-shaped speakers, an iconic Sonus faber design element, combines aesthetic elegance with high-fidelity sound, optimizing sound dispersion for an immersive listening experience. Focusing on natural materials, true to Sonus faber tradition, Sonetto G2 follows Suprema’s innovative cork internal chamber design and the Camelia midrange. Harnessing cork’s acoustic properties, the speakers enhance mid-high frequencies resolution and Natural Sound quality. In addition, the familiar high-quality wood cabinets have been enhanced with a new concrete base to provide superior stability and better vibration management.

The Sonetto G2 Collection features a complete range of speakers, including stand-mounted speakers, floor-standing speakers, and wall-mount options. Each speakers is constructed with high-quality materials, embodying the signature essence of Italian craftsmanship.

Camelia Midrange Speaker
First developed for Suprema, the Camelia midrange speaker features the recognizable membrane inspired by the camelia flower’s shape, left unpainted to ensure total sound purity, mounted on the unique organic basket. Its peculiar shape avoids the resonances typically found in circular shaped membranes and enhances the Natural Sound signature to Sonus faber.

The aluminium Phase Plug allows for optimized frequency response and clarity, both on and off axis. The Camelia Midrange is featured on Sonetto VIII, Sonetto V, and Sonetto Center.

Cork Internal Volume
The legacy of Sonus faber’s Suprema speakers lives on in the innovative cork chamber design featured in the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII models. Thanks to this technology, the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII speakers enhances midrange resolution and Natural Sound quality.

Designed to be purely organic in shape, it ensures a seamless flow of sound waves within the chamber. By eliminating regular walls, the speakers achieve optimal acoustics, allowing for precise control over sound propagation and resonance.

Flower Patterned Woofer Surround
The woofers and mid-woofers surround features a unique Camelia pattern that not only adds a unique elegance to the visual aesthetics but also helps reduce interference and improve sound dispersion. The cones feature paper pulp sandwich structures that ensures precise and dynamic bass response. It is paired with an organic basket, optimal for air flow.

Silk Domed D.A.D Tweeter
The silk dome tweeter allows a pristine and detailed high-frequency reproduction, completing the rich and balanced listening experience of the Sonetto G2 speakers.
